Description

In Colossians 1:9-14, the Apostle Paul expresses his ceaseless prayers for the Colossian church since hearing of their faith and love, asking God to fill them with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. This knowledge is meant to enable them to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, bearing fruit in every good work, increasing in the knowledge of God, and being strengthened with divine power for endurance and patience with joy. Paul culminates this prayer by giving thanks to the Father who has qualified believers to share in the inheritance of the saints in light, having rescued them from the domain of darkness and transferred them into the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom they have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
